Meet Victor Ofili

Every time I remember Yusky High School, there is always this name in mind. Anytime I see NYSC uniform, there is always this unforgettable face I can clearly picture and this can be traced as far back as 2005 when I was in my first year in secondary (high) school.

It was a warm day at Yusky High School, Oje Owode during the first raining season of the year when Mr. Soliu walks into the class with a new teacher that will be taking us Agricultural Science for the next academic session. He introduced him as Corper Victor.

Victor Ofili is a calm and loving National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member who is also good at what he taught. Within just a year he was able to impact the lives of many which I am one of them. One of his beautiful works is making us understand the importance of choosing a career path and how to go about it through a career talk program the team came up with. After the career talk, I went about researching various courses. After a long search I decided to settle for Meteorology due to my love for geography, little do I know that Computer Science will be the final path.

Another of his great works was paying my tuition fees for two whole sessions. Yeah, you heard me right, he paid my school fees for 6 terms. It's actually a rare thing to find out there. It's one of those things I can't thank him enough for. Well, excluding alerts I receive after receiving, "Matthew, can you forward me your account details?" message from him.

Just in case you are reading this, You've been such great support to me. I really appreciate everything. I can't find the right word to use now but honestly, you are such an amazing person. You've really taught me more than agriculture but also taught me how to live an impactful life. I really appreciate all your effort and may God continue to bless you. My regard to the family sir.

Once again, thank you.
